INTRODUCING...
Thea-poets, a newly formed London based collective, consisting of the six female writers and performers who created ‘Strictly Come Poetry’.
They met through Malika’s Kitchen and worked together on a one off performance at Alternative Arts’ Spit-Lit in 2007. That lead to Charlotte Ansell bringing the women back together for a three night run at The Space with a fresh new show and concept. The rest is... well, poetry.
Founding member, Sifundo dreamed up the name Thea-poets to express the female centric nature of the group as well their artistic practice, which is a combination of theatre and poetry.
Each member is an experienced workshop facilitator and they offer creative packages around the show’s many themes for adults, children and mixed groups.
